Chief Apostle was using the passage
Luke 8:16 ““No one, when he has lit a lamp, covers it with a vessel or puts it under a bed, but sets it on a lampstand, that those who enter may see the light.”
Lamp are:
- Faith
Let us not close it with a jar: hesitant, or put them under the bed: we do not apply. - Love
Let us not close it with a jar: selfish, selfishness, or place them under the bed: we feel helpless, tiny chance. - Hope
Let us not close it with a jar: The thought: “God is delaying his coming” or even “God will not come back,” or placing it under the bed: We pursue only the worldly matters. - Joy
Let us not close it with a jar: criticism, anger, misunderstanding, or placing it under the bed: We are seeking worldly joy
We place the lamp on the lampstand, means that we elevate the fourth.
