Updated Efforts to Prevent The Spread of Corona Virus

District Apostle Edy Isnugroho informed in a circular related to efforts to prevent transmission and spread of the corona virus (Covid-19). He is very grateful that the brothers and sisters obey the direction and policies of the government and pay attention to the Church’s appeal.

We will continue to obey the government policies and attend the divine service through streaming at least until April 26, 2020. For midweek services, we conduct our own devotions at our respective homes. Regarding the confirmation service, we will see the possibility, whether the services can be held in May. Sunday school lessons should be carried out at home by parents with materials prepared by the Sunday School Working Group. Sunday School teachers are asked to continue to monitor and motivate children. While the School of Religion and Confirmation is carried out by students independently and monitored by the teachers.

Regarding the funeral service, it is regulated by the authorised ministers by involving family representatives whose numbers are adjusted based on advice or instructions from the health staff. During the funeral service, the ministers and family representatives must follow the health procedures.

“We are very grateful for your faithfulness to bring offerings, dear Brothers and Sisters,” said the District Apostle and added that the method of bringing offerings is left to the discretion of the congregation Rector together with the responsible District Rector.

“We continue praying for God’s help in this difficult situation. In particular we pray that all Brothers and Sisters are protected,” the District Apostle closed this announcement and also pray for those who become victims and for all of us who are affected by this pandemic.
