Chief Apostle was using the passage

Luke 8:16 ““No one, when he has lit a lamp, covers it with a vessel or puts it under a bed, but sets it on a lampstand, that those who enter may see the light.”

Lamp are:

  1. Faith
Let us not close it with a jar: hesitant, or put them under the bed: we do not apply.
  2. Love
Let us not close it with a jar: selfish, selfishness, or place them under the bed: we feel helpless, tiny chance.
  3. Hope
Let us not close it with a jar: The thought: “God is delaying his coming” or even “God will not come back,” or placing it under the bed: We pursue only the worldly matters.
  4. Joy
Let us not close it with a jar: criticism, anger, misunderstanding, or placing it under the bed: We are seeking worldly joy

We place the lamp on the lampstand, means that we elevate the fourth.

On Sunday afternoon, the Chief Apostle and company visiting our Church in Tama City. There retired District Evangelist Yahata Yoshiharu (78) tell the history of the New Apostolic Church in Japan, whose work began in 1961.

Before the next trip on Monday, the guests visited the historic tourist objects and so they get an impression of the diversity of Japanese culture.
