On 19 April 2015, Apostle Edy Isnugroho laid the first stone to mark the beginning of building renovation of Semarang church. After the construction was completed, Apostle Edy Isnugroho dedicated the New Apostolic Church Semarang congregation building on 4 October 2015. It was a very joyful day, because after 4 years of moving from one place to another – the last one was under the bedeng (semi-permanent shelter)–, since that date, Semarang congregation have obtained the new gathering place. It is an enormous blessing of God the Father. 162 souls attended the event which was based on John 14:2,3 by Apostle Edy. For the Thanksgiving, he based the sermon from Hebrew 13:15,16.

Apostle Edy emphasized that there are many rooms in the Father’s house. This is our faith goal that we can have eternal fellowship with God. On that very day, the Lord will really come. “I will not abandon you as orphanage, but I will return to take you. I will be with you everyday until the end of the world”, and we will not be abandoned. The Lord is with His people. The Lord is with His church everyday. We offer our thanksgiving to the Lord, because He always be with us. The centerfold of thanksgiving is that God is the Giver to you and me. Firstly, praises to glorify His name is our thanksgiving offering to God. Secondly, we recognize the Lord’s great and wonderful works. Thirdly, our life acts as the gospel of Christ.

District Evangelist Remulus Dwijo Maruto was asked to help along the service. He added: we are given a new place to glorify God. The outward thanksgiving enter into the spiritual one. We are thankful for the merit of the Lord Jesus Christ who have died on the cross. We should be able to be a blessing for another.

District Elder Sumarmo was then asked to serve. He stated: My congratulation to all brothers and sisters in Semarang, because of having the new church. A cool room can cool our spiritual life. The coolness can also be experienced in the fellowship of children of God. The Lord’s word is fulfilled:

“that where I am, there you may be also.”

This is the newapostolic goal of faith. Our thanksgiving is the evidence of our love to God.

Bishop Triyanto was the last one to help serve along. He added: Today I feel joyful, because I have experienced my childhood until my wedding in the old building of Semarang church. We have so many reasons to express our thankfulness to God. We are now being prepared as the firstfruit. This is our faith to God. We have to be thankful to God, because God has chosen us as His children, as His firstfruit.
