Many members are currently busy with the preparations for International Youth Convention from 30 May to 2 June 2019 in Düsseldorf (Germany).
“Here I am!” is the motto of the event. Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider announced the motto at the end of the Pentecost service. The motto “Here I am” can be understood in two ways: “Here I am – God is there for us.” And “Here I am – We serve God.”
On the one hand, it is God who speaks to us, assuring us that He is there for us human beings. On the other hand, we human beings call to the Lord, “Here I am.” And not least it is the young people in their individual congregations who, through this motto, express their availability and willingness to help along.
All New Apostolic Christians between the ages of 14 and 35 are invited to this youth convention—irrespective of their marital or family status. Already at the time of the European Youth Day 2009, many young people beyond Europe’s borders had expressed great interest in an international youth convention. Several hundred from Africa, the Americas, and Asia travelled to Düsseldorf at the time. But this time the organizers are hoping for even more international guests.
the website for the International Youth Convention of the New Apostolic Church in Düsseldorf (Germany) has gone online two years early. The website and an app will provide news and information around the upcoming youth event.
