Chief Apostle in retirement Richard Fehr passed away Sunday, 30th June 2013, 10 pm (Indonesia time). He visited Indonesia 5 times to serve our members in Java and Sumatera, leaving behind traces of blessing. Still a District Apostle he ordained District Apostle Alfons Tansahtikno in Bandung on 30th July 1985, on behalf of CA Urwyler.
His first visit as Chief Apostle was in 4 November 1990 for the Service for the Departed in Gombong, Central Java. Then again in January 1994 in Bandung when he bestowed Silver Wedding Anniverssary to District Apostle Tansahtikno and Sr. Waty Tanusetia and ordained Apostle Kardiman Hadiwidagdo and two Bishops: Daniel and Edy Isnugroho. On January 29, 1999 in Yogyakarta he ordained 4 Bishops for the Philippines and 2 Bishops for Indonesia: Albertus Widodo and Samuel Hadiwidagdo as well as ordained District Elder Samuel Handojo Tansahtikno. He also bestowed Wedding Blessing to District Elder Samuel Handojo Tansahtikno and Sr. Jolanda Klara before going to Lampung, Sumatera. His last visit to Indonesia was in 2005 when he ordained Bishop Samuel Handojo Tansahtikno on February 6 in a festive divine service in Jakarta.
Besides, the Chief Apostle also ordained Apostle Samuel Hadiwidagdo in Cologne/Koeln, Germany on October 28, 2001. And on March 23, 2002 in Davao/Philippines he put Apostle Yusak Saptohadiprayitno into retirement and ordained Apostle Edy Isnugroho.
Richard Fehr was known as a visionary and courageous man of God. During his 17 years in the Petrine ministry he initiated the globalization of the New Apostolic Church. We loved him and will miss him. In great thankfulness for his ministrations and leadership we extend our condolences and sincere sympathy to his wife Sonja and his son in Switzerland.
