As much as 394 ministers and wives from all areas of District Lampung gathered on Monday, 26 October 2015 at the Pasir Sakti church, for a special divine service conducted by the District Apostle Urs Hebeisen. A tent was set up to shelter the participants who did not get a seat in the church. The District Apostle elaborated the deeper meaning of our service to the Lord in a comprehensive way, based on the Chief Apostle’s sermon for all European Ministers and wives on 27th September 2015

“Serve the Lord with gladness” (Psalm 100:2a)

To fulfill His commission a minister must be able to sanctify himself, be in agreement with the creed of faith and seek oneness. He works only for the Lord and follows the guidance of the Holy Spirit. He trusts Him. Priority has to set standards of values according to the gospel and not make rules. Serving with gladness is also based on the awareness of his own salvation.

With a flashback to his previous coming to the Pasir Sakti church – when it was still a construction site -, at the beginning of his service, District Apostle Hebeisen emphasized the importance of a solid foundation of spiritual building, that is the Lord Jesus. Those who have an important role in this construction are the servants of God who work in the power of the Holy Spirit and are united with their blessing bearers and with each other. Their main task is to make salvation accessible to all souls through the teaching and example which leads to Jesus Christ. The joy comes from the salvation, sharing the suffering for and with Jesus and also from the fact that many brothers and sisters remain faithful.
