Obstacle and joy: A portrait of services in South Sumatera

Apostle Samuel Hadiwidagdo accompanied by Bishop Trius Joko Prayitno, District Evangelists Sagiyo (Jambi) and David Eko Prasetyo (Lampung) and Shepherd Supriyono (Palembang) served the children of God in South Sumatera for a whole week since Friday, 19th August 2016 to Friday, 26 August 2016. The journey which had to be taken during the services was not an easy thing. The Apostle’s entourage had to use motorcycle for a few hours, plus the bad weather condition and difficult terrain. Moreover, the course which using speedboat did not go according to the plan because of the low tide. But, all of that did not dampen the joy to serve the children of God there.

This great joy was experienced not only by the children of God in South Sumatera, but also by Apostle Samuel and his entourage. On this journey, 8 congregations experienced the Apostle’s service, one of them was a divine service for ministers and wives. A total of 317 souls experienced this services, where 5 children received the Holy Sealing, and Deacon Parwoto was ordained as a Priest for Cahaya Mas congregation.

“The fatigue through the difficult and winding journey instantly vanished after seeing the joy of the ministers and brothers and sisters”, District Evangelist David Eko Prasetyo describe the journey. It is a great joy for God’s work in South Sumatera.
